Strategic Transition Training (S.T.T.) is a program specifically designed for adults and young adults with disabilities to help them gain independence and thrive. The program focuses on equipping teens and young adults with self-advocacy and self-sufficiency skills that they need to succeed in life.
The S.T.T. program is tailored to the individual and unique needs of each candidate. It prepares them for life after high school by providing them with the necessary skills to become independent, successful adults.
The S.T.T. program focuses on developing skills that foster independence and critical thinking. Candidates learn to advocate for themselves, build their self-help skills, and motivate themselves to change their own behavior. They also develop specific skills that can bring about independence.
The ultimate goal of the S.T.T. program is for each candidate to achieve independence that is on par with their same-age peers.
